This marvel of ancient engineering still holds up to 14,000 people, and it’s rumored the crowd can hear the sound of a match being struck on stage due to the theater’s superior design. There’s a nearby museum that features information about the construction of the theater, as well as history of Epidaurus and its renown as a center for the healing arts in ancient times.
